Give Back!

The student council would like to invite the entire school to GIVE BACK!

(This will be coming home later and we are in major need of shoeboxes.  If any of you have extras please donate them.)

 

Each grading period, MCIS will conduct a community service project to help our students get involved in serving others.  These are completely optional.  Our first service project…

 

Shoeboxes for Children in Impoverished Countries September 23-27

Winning team from each grade will get a cupcake party!

5thGrade

Hygiene items OR small toys for children in grades 1-8

Examples include:  Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, small cars, hard candy, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch,® toys thatlight up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky,T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips , watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)

4thGrade

School supplies OR small toys for preschoolers

Examples include:  Pens, pencils & sharpeners, crayons, markers, stamps & ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring & picture books, toy jewelry small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch,® toys thatlight up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky,T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips , watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
