Kids Eat Free

Mercer County Schools Summer Food Service Program

The Mercer County Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.. Meals will be provided to all children (ages 1- 18) without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Begins on Friday, May 24, 2019 and ends on Wednesday July 31, 2019

Camp Can Do Volunteers Needed

When: June 17-20th      8:00am-5:00pm
Where: Camp Horsin' Around in Perryville

Ephraim McDowell’s Kids Can Do Pediatric Therapy Center is hosting Camp Can Do, a camp for children with special needs. We need volunteers to be one-on-one buddies for our campers. 

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and complete all necessary paperwork.  
  • Additional volunteer opportunities include:Bike Camp June 10-13 (4 sessions from 8:30-4:30) Millennium Park
  • Camp Healthy Kids (1 session) from 12-5 @ Indian Hills Church 
  • Camp School Prep (1 session) from 8:00-12:00 @ Indian Hills Church

Experiencing KUNA

This past March, Mercer County High School students had the opportunity to participate in the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA). At this three day conference, students from across the state came together to learn about the cultures of other countries and build their problem solving skills as they work together to improve the world. Fifty different countries were represented by approximately 1400 students from public, private and homeschools throughout KY.
