We believe that each child is endowed with his/her own individual capacities and characteristics and that our schools should provide each child with the kind of education best fitted to him/her as an individual. We respect the dignity and worth of all our students.
Our intention is to provide the child with the opportunity to make choices for himself/herself. We believe that the making of wise choices is a necessary part of living in a democracy. No child shall be discriminated against because of race, religion, national origin, sex, color, or handicap. We believe that a public school system anywhere in the United States of America exists to serve all the children of all people as best it can. From age three (3) to twenty-one (21) each child has the right to attend the public school and reap the benefits of our educational institutions.
We believe that education is a process which requires educators, parents/guardians, and the community to exercise input into all aspects of the school system including curriculum, policy, facilities and values. Therefore, we believe that those involved in education must make every effort to meet the needs of all students by granting them the fullest possible educational opportunities.
