Who: Harlow Early Learning Center Student Energy Team

HELC's "Kinetic Kindergartners" were busy this year reaching their goals of increasing energy awareness at the school, beginning a school-wide recycling program and getting the community involved in their efforts.

On May 2, they were recognized by the Kentucky National Energy Education Development Project for their Outstanding Energy Project at the Primary Level at the annual Youth Summit and Awards Luncheon held in Frankfort at the Frankfort Convention Center. They also received the National Primary School of the Year for Energy Achievement. Their efforts have saved our enviornment and district thousands of dollars with energy consumption.
