Welcome to the MCSH Media Center Webpage!

Celebrate Banned Books Week-September 24-30!

Banned Books Week is the national book community's annual celebration of the freedom to read and was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. Come to the Media Center to view our display, check out your very own banned book and take advantage of the photo opportunity with your censored read.  See photos below.  Exercise your freedom to read!  The Makerspace Area is open in the MCSH Media Center!

Q: What is a makerspace area?
A: A Do It Yourself space where students can gather to create, invent and learn.

There are strategy games, origami, adult coloring pages, cross stitch kits, Magnatiles, robotic kits and K’nex engineering sets. Let your creative juices flow in the Makerspace Area.

Congratulations to the students who met their reading goal of 25 books for the 2016-17 school year! They were: Alyssa Baker, Keagan Hill, Katie Hensley, Silvara Horton, Ashley Nolan, Caleb Otis, Katelyn Robinson, Brenna Russell, Brez Smith, Ashley Spears, Cassi Stahlman, Cassy Trigg, Megan Vineyard, Destiny Walker and Victoria Wilson. They were rewarded with a free fun day field trip which included shopping at Barnes & Noble, lunch and admission to Kentucky Down Under in Horse Cave, KY. See pics below!
