I have placed a link to RWG 9 free online training under Professional Development. This program is now installed across the district and will hopefully be a great resource for your classrooms.

Educational Technology Network

One of my goals this summer has been to create and launch my own website. Much to my own surprise I accomplished this task. One of the most exciting things about this process has been finding new ideas and information for my teachers in Mercer County. Thus, Educational Technology Network (ETN) became a reality.  ETN is a totally free website created with you all in mind, your needs and your goals. The site itself is less than a month old and has already had its first facelift. As I find new ideas and information, I will add them to this site. I hope you enjoy. :)

Technology Update

It has been a very busy start to the new year. Thanks to Title 1, every core content teacher in grades 3 -8 now have access to a projector in their classroom on a daily basis. All core content teachers grades 3-5 now have an Interwrite Pad in their classroom to enhance student learning and instruction. Mercer Elementary and Harlow teachers in grade 3-4 now have 1 Turning Point clicker set for ever 2-3 teachers. 5th grade Academy has received 6 new CPS clicker sets as well as a site license for Examview and Examview Learning Series. King Middle School received 8 new sets of CPS clickers as well as 11 new Interwrite Pads for Science, some Language Arts and some Social Studies. 9th grade Academy will see the addition of several Interwrite Pads and CPS clickers this year from Title II-D money.

The new Mercer County Senior High is well on its way to completion. Some equipment that will be seen in this new building include mounted wireless LCD projectors, tablet PC’s, Interwrite Pads, Elmo Document Cameras, CPS Clickers, TI-Navigators in the Math classrooms, and enhanced sound.

We are all very excited about the new technology available in our schools.
