Summer Letter to Parents
by admin
Dear Parents,
This past school year, we have worked very hard with your child on speech sound skills and/or language skills in order that he/she may improve their communication.
Often summer vacation can be a setback to the progress we have made because the child is not reminded to use their target sounds and/or language skills on a regular basis. It would be a great help for your child if you could do a few things this summer so the progress we have made will not stop, but will continue throughout the summer. Here are some suggestions.
1. Keep the speech folder- it includes practice material.
2. Have your child look through the speech folder once or twice each week and go over one of the papers.
3. Occasionally and gently remind your child to use the sound or sounds he/she has been working on. Never remind them in front of others.
Thank you for your help and we hope you all have a wonderful summer.
