MCES News                  April 24, 2018
As I write this I am realizing that we are on the last 7 days of Preschool and the last 23 days of school for K-2. The years truly fly by. We want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for sharing your child with us this year.
Reminder:  Please do not send students in flip flops.  Sandals with a strap on ankle or heel are fine.
From the Nurse:  1 Hep A shot will be required BEFORE your child can start school in August. Schedule appointments now. Emergency meds, medication & special dietary need blank forms will be sent home for parents to update over the summer.
Registration for 2018-19:   ONLY new preschoolers and new K students need to register!  For 3 & 4 year olds- Call 733-7040 Cara Doyle for a preschool screening appointment on May 11th.     For incoming Kindergarten (must be age 5 by August 1, 2018)- No appointment needed.  Come to MCES Cafeteria on May 14 5-7 pm to register!  Please share!  Kindergarten Camp registration money and paper are due May 24 or earlier. Must have both or lose your spot.
Below is a summary of the End-of-year activities we already have on the calendar and some important dates for 2018-2019.  The complete 2018-19 calendar is on the district website.
Reminder about field trips: If parents are invited, they may ONLY supervise their own child unless they are an approved, trained volunteer. Students MUST stay with their group at all times. Parents should ONLY take pictures of their own child. (We have numerous children who are not permitted to have pictures made or posted online.) Parents are NOT permitted to check a child out from a field trip unless there is a valid reason and principal permission.  Even then, they must sign the child out in the school office before picking the child up at the field trip location.
