November News

FALL PICTURES-  Fall picture packages or payment should have already been returned to school by Nov. 1. If you have not paid for your package (or the part you want to keep), you should have received a letter. Our school has chosen to do our pictures this way so you can always see what you are paying for. We can only continue to do the picture orders this way as long as we are not losing money.  CHRISTMAS PICTURES ARE Nov. 20 & ARE PRE-ORDER. Ordering information is being sent next week. Only those students who pre- order/ pre-pay Christmas pictures will have them taken.  Lifetouch has assured us that all Christmas pictures will arrive before Christmas break. These are optional.
PTO  FUNDRAISER-  The catalog fundraiser ends on Monday, Nov. 13th.  Please turn in all orders and money on that date.

KROGER REWARDS-  The MCES PTO has a Kroger rewards account!  This is free for you to use and generates additional funds for the PTO.  Just sign in to your existing Kroger online account and click on “Explore” and “Community Rewards”.  Type in the number 68116. If you do not have an online Kroger account,  go to krogercommunityrewards.com to enroll.

SHOP WITH A HERO BASKETBALL GAME-  Police vs. Firefighters-  Monday, Nov. 20th at 1:15 pm.  (Formerly “Shop with a Cop”)  We do request that each student bring in a small donation ($1.00) to donate to this program.  The class that raises the most money by Nov. 17th gets to play against the staff team during half-time of the Hero game.  Local law enforcement  adopts one MCES student for every $100 raised, so the money benefits our own families.  Last year we brought in $800 and Ms. Keller’s class played against the staff team.   (Parents are welcome to attend.  We also need a few volunteers to be officials or keep scoreboard.) Who will win this year?

TITAN LEARNING DAY PACKETS will be placed in backpacks between Nov. 13 & 20.  Either KEEP these in the backpack OR place them in a secure location at home.  Students ONLY do work from this packet when the Superintendent calls a “Titan Learning Day” for weather or illness. Copies will be on the school website as well.
