Human Anatomy Class Participates in Hands-On Learning, Study of a Pig's Heart
Students at Mercer County Senior High School in Dr. Elumalai’s Human Anatomy class recently dissected a pig's heart to observe the major chambers, valves, and blood vessels of the heart and described the circulation of blood through the heart to the lungs and to the rest of the body. This class exercise allowed the students to thoroughly study and examine what the heart looks like. The dissection class activity can help students who decide to enter the medical field.
