Mercer County Elementary houses grades Preschool through Second. We have approximately 750 students. Our school day starts at 8:00 am and is over at 3:05 pm. Our students get instruction from the following areas: Literacy, Math, Science and Social Studies. They also have the following Enrichment classes each week: Library, Science Lab, Art, Music, and P.E.
MCES became a SACS accredited school in 2006. SACS stands for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is an accreditation that requires that schools meet a set of high national standards. These standards reflect many of the qualities seen in high performing schools across the country.
At Mercer County Elementary School, our mission is to create a safe learning environment where all students can succeed at their highest potential. We teach students daily that Titans are Respectful, Responsible, Ready, and Safe.
