MDT strives to provide high quality instruction along with a comprehensive array of community based services for at risk youth directed toward promoting rehabilitation and stabilization within families and the community.
Our Purpose
To design individualized treatment plans that provide academic and social opportunities for growth and development thus meeting the needs of each youth and their family
To utilize an effective balance of treatment, education and graduated sanctions, to redirect misguided youth
Prevent further involvement in the court system
Decrease chances of long term treatment away from home
To ultimately prepare our students for transition back to the mainstream educational setting after successful completion of the phases and treatment
To develop productive and capable members of the community with a plan of success
The Mercer County Day Treatment Program (MCDT) is located at 530 Perryville Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330 and is operated by the Mercer County School District in cooperation with the (DJJ) Department of Juvenile Justice and (KECSAC) Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children.
Youths reside in the community and attend school Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The program is designed to provide a comprehensive array of community-based services for at risk youth directed toward promoting rehabilitation and stabilization within families and to provide opportunities for growth and development to meet each individual’s human potential.
