Celebrating the School Counselors of Mercer County Schools

This week we are celebrating the School Counselors of Mercer County Schools.  Throughout this week, we will recognize their amazing accomplishments and expertise in the field of social emotional learning, academic counseling, and college and career readiness.  Thank you Mercer County School Counselors for all you do for the students of Mercer County.
National School Counseling Week is celebrated February 1-5 to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. School systems.

 School counselors work with all students to remove barriers to learning by addressing student's academic concerns, postsecondary options, and social emotional skills.

School counselors are certified, experienced educators with a Master's degree in school counseling.  The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program.
